Introduced in 1977, Rainier Daumiller's simply drawn dining chair is a robust, sturdy testament to the German-born designer's lifelong love of the natural world. An early voice for sustainability, his signature piece countered the era's furniture dominated by teak and rosewood with an understanding of the need to carefully manage rainforests.
