Perhaps designer Felicia Ferrone's early stint as an architect inspired the structure of her whisky tumblers. But the unique curved shape also enhances the flavor of a fine malted grain by concentrating the intoxicating aroma. Each one is handcrafted by master glassblowers in the Czech Republic from the finest quality borosilicate glass, making them practically impervious to hot and cold temperatures and dishwasher safe. Set of 2 because it's more fun than sipping alone.
“I’ve always known I wanted to work for myself, and I always knew I wanted to be in some kind of design director role," says the founder of Fferrone. “It really wasn’t until the Revolution Collection of glassware that it finally happened. It allowed me the opportunity to figure out all the ‘moving parts’… that couldn’t be done well while working for someone else.” For Chicago’s Felicia Ferrone, that followed an initial stint as an architect in Milan working under notables such as Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni.
Minimalist contours, an unwavering attention to detail and an often whimsical sensibility characterize the designer’s much-awarded work, both for her own company and for clients such as Boffi, Volume Gallery and Covo. “I knew I also wanted to be free to pursue design with established brands along with more self-directed work,” adds Felicia, “and having my own studio allows me that freedom of choice.”
