It's fully biodegradable and compostable, made from 100% TREE-FREE renewable materials--sugar cane fiber, bamboo and reed pulp. Designed in Japan by Shinichiro Ogata/SIMPLICITY, Wasara is responsibly manufactured in China at an ISO 9001 and 14001 Certified factory. Suitable for cold or hot (though not boiling) foods and beverages, and it's oil- and water-resistant. Perfect to show off morsels and non-edibles, too.
