The organic quality of wood paired with the man-made fabrication of steel is among design's most indelible partnerships. Vincent and Paul Georgeson work this duo to timeless, beautiful effect with their collection under the nom Misewell. Available in walnut or maple, the shaped wood seat is ergonomically comfy--but for those who enjoy a bit more cush there is a felt back pad. The metal comes powedercoated in Blue, Black or Cream. Launched in 2008, Misewell took home the Best New Designer Award at ICFF the next year. The Georgeson brothers believe in furniture that is simple, functional and honest. They are committed to responsible manufacturing, creating long-lasting, high-quality furnishings with minimal environmental impact. Besides steel and aluminum, the Georgesonís use American, mostly locally sourced maple and walnut. These are pieces worth collecting.
