Y'a Pas Le Feu Au Lac & FX Balléry's
Les Montgolfières [Air Balloon] Container
Hold candy, rings and other bits and baubles in these beautiful containers, their whimsical colors and shapes inspired by the hot air balloons designer FX Balléry would watch dreamily at the Royal Saltworks of Arc and Senans. They are fashioned from hornbeam, a kind of beech wood.
Craft is as integral to the end product for the trio behind France's Y'a Pas Le Feu Au Lac, a popular phrase that loosely translates as "no need to hurry." Wood turners Grégory and Marie Bodel connected with designer FX Balléry on a love of wood and their ties to the Alps' Jura Mountains. Like life there, the YPLFL Collection calls for taking time to smell the flowers, or in this case, the beech wood.
