Glass
The future, still, might be in plastics. All the more reason why there's something incredibly rebellious and precious in a world that still raises up a glass for a toast. Make it count with flutes, bottles, pitchers and even a clock rendered crystal clear. And if you don't trust even yourself, consider boroscilicate a.k.a. the tough (yet fine) stuff all those beakers in lab class were blown from. Living in earthquake country (and being a bit clutzy at times), we appreciate that attribute.
